Copenhagen's biggest street party and club festival Distortion gathers every year in June more than 40,000 fun-loving people to free street parties, dance, art rock, freestyle hip hop, tech-house, polka and street art.

When Distortion 2013 rolls through Copenhagen from Wednesday 29 May - Sunday 2 June, it will be with street parties, pop-up parties, night parties, Final Party, chill and - as something new - a harbour party on the programme.

Everything stems from that Distortion at its core is an exploration of the party as event and concept, and 2013 is set to be a good Distortion-year; party warranty is hereby issued.

Free daytime parties

Also in 2013, it will be free to participate in daytime festivities during Distortion. It is possible to maintain these thanks to the sale of street wristbands in 2012.

The street wristbands make it possible for the audience, quite voluntarily, to contribute to the future existence of free street parties.

By purchasing a wristband, you are thus showcasing your support of Distortion.

Now with a harbour party

Everything under Distortion 2013 is not business as usual. Distortion offers a free harbour party in 2013 and says a temporary farewell to the usual street party in the city centre of Copenhagen.

The harbour party will be held in collaboration with some of the street hosts from the previous inner city celebrations in the street Studiestræde.

The ambition is to take the good vibes from Studiestræde out to the water. It is new. It breaks the habit. Distortion likes that.

Wednesday 29 May 2013:
Free street party in Nørrebro + night celebrations in Nørrebro and city centre.

Thursday 30 May 2013:
Free street party in Vesterbro + night celebrations in Copenhagen and city centre.

Friday 31 May 2013:
Free harbour party on Refshaleøen + night celebrations on Refshaleøen and in city centre.

Saturday 1 June 2013:
Final Party on Refshaleøen - starts in the afternoon sun already at 16:00.

Sunday 2 June 2013:
Free chill in city centre.
