Exciting and funny experiences – for the whole family                                       In Guldborgsund Zoo and Botanical Garden you get close to animals and plants. The 80 years old garden is a very popular attraction with more than 80 different animal species, thousands of plants and many funny activities.

Go exploring among jumping kangaroos and see the monkeys jump past you in the rainforest. Say hello to the funny, lively penguins or Luna, our wonderful Siberian tiger. Enjoy the coatis while they are playing on the trunks in the grotto lake. The meerkats are the favorites of the children, and the otters whistle with joy, when they are being fed.

Time flies on the greatest nature playground on Falster, which with hut labyrinths, climbing towers, chair lifts and chutes are a big hit among children of every age.

Or travel millions of years back to the world of the dinosaurs in the prehistoric garden and experience 65 million years old plant species. You can also see the only volcano in Denmark erupt and you can hear why the dinosaurs disappeared. In the dinosaur sandbox you can go hunting for exciting fossils from the impressive animals of the past. Maybe you will find one of the awe-inspiring T-REX-teeth, which we put in the sandbox every week.

In the 60.000 m2 big and beautiful area you can all year let the zookeepers surprise you. Did you for instance know: That a macaw is just as intelligent as a three year old child? That wild reindeer travel up to 5000 km a year? That a cockroach can live up to 21 days without his head? Every day the zookeepers exhibit the animals and tell exciting stories.

During the summer months the market garden presents rare cactuses, meat eating plants and maybe the biggest exhibition of chili plants in Denmark. Bring along the lunch basket, the garden has many cozy corners, shady trees and beautiful views of the lake and the forest. The garden café is open during the high season with sale of light dishes and various drinks.
