Hørup Church, Kjellerup
Hørup Church was built around 1200. It was built as a typical roman stone church, with a ship and a choir and a women entrance on the northern side and a man entrance on the southern side.
Around 1400 a tower was built in the western end of the church. The church was ruined when lightning struck in 1872 and had to be torn down and rebuilt. Fortunately most of the inventory survived and could be reinstated in the new church.
In 1974 the church-room went through a bigger renovation and a new organ was inaugurated.
