Jels Church
Jels Church was original a wooden church from the 12th century. Later replaced by a Romanesque building of granite ashlars, censecrated on November 13 1854.
The church is situated near Jels Nedersø (lake), probably because this was formerly considered a holy lake and baptisms were performed here.
