About 40 years ago there were a group of visionary people who wanted to create a camp and experiential place for children and young people in central Jutland. They purchased the almost 100 year old Brårup school near Ans. At this spot   the camp that was named Kjelsølejren was established..
Since 1968 when the camp was established, thousands of children and young people have returned home with memorable experiences from the camp.
Every year between 1700 and 1800 stay in the camp.
The camp is used by children and young people from large parts of central Jutland - from Vildbjerg and Timring in West Jutland.
