More than 1000 years ago when the Jels Castle was built, one of the most beautiful places in Southjutland was found. The castle was placed on the middle of the enormous Farris Forests, along the shining rows of lakes with a total area of 78 hectares, created by the glacial era.

This place where the enormous quantities of water were running and where the drama of history took place is now the idyllic and peaceful recreational area with the shining lakes and deep forests.
