Lindholm Høje Museum
In the Lindholm Høje Museum in Aalborg you will find two exciting exhibitions about the Vikings on Lindholm Høje and the antiquity around the Limfjord. Try sailing a Viking ship and visit a Vikings house. Outside 682 graves can be seen. In the 1950s, the The Museum excavated several dwellings and burial sites from the Iron Age and Viking era, located at Lindholm Høje, just north of Aalborg in Nørresundby. Many of the discoveries are presented in the museum.
Today, Lindholm Høje is recognised as Scandinavia's largest Viking burial ground with more than 700 graves.
