Two countries, four cities and 16 cultural institutions have joined forces to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Oresund Region with the festival Music and Art Around. Music and Art Around is a festival of classical music and contemporary art that offers a wide range of events, from exhibitions and concerts to debates and excursions on both sides of the Oresund strait. The aim is to draw attention to Oresund as a centre of classical music and contemporary art of high quality and international standard. A multitude of concerts and exhibitions Music and Art Around takes place in the four cities of Copenhagen, Malmö, Lund and Helsingborg, but other parts of the region will take part in the festival as well. Experience a wide range of exhibitions, for instance by Bob Dylan and David Lynch, and a multitude of concerts, for example with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and the Copenhagen Philharmonic. On the opening night of the festival, on 6 October, the participating cultural institutions and organisations will be open all night offering special events.
