Ristrup Hovedgård (Estate) received the Danish Award of Architecture in 1996 for fitting in new architecture into an old estate building. The estate is private owned and is mainly used for tourist accomodation. The park is only opened for the guests of Ristrup. 
The estate lies 12 kilometres west of Aarhus near highway "E 45", roadmark 47, "Primary rute 26" direction Viborg/Sabro, "Secondary rute 511" direction Hadsten. After 500 metres a sign says "Ristrup 2 (kilometres)".
