Rudolph Tegners Museum & Statuepark
Rudolph Tegners Museum is a unique monument to a single artist conceived and realized by himself as a synthesis of sculpture, architecture and nature.
The sculptor Rudolph Tegner (1873-1950) strove in his artistic production toward a new monumental style and some of Tegners sculptures were a provocation to his contemporaries both on account of their scale and content. He was undisputed a groundbreaking figure as an opposition to the classicism of Thorvaldsen. Tegner raised his enormous Museum in the wild, uncultivated part of North Zealand called Russia, where it is possible to view his lifetime work.
In the park you can see 14 sculptures.
