The Arboretum is open every day from 07.30 until sunset.
The Arboretum is a scenic park with some 2,000 species of bushes and trees from the temperate areas in the northern and southern hemispheres. Visitors can wander along green, winding paths and enjoy the stunning sights of the beautiful plant life. Signs showing the name, age and origin of the plants are a source of endless information about the richness of nature.
The Arboretum was established in 1936 with the goal of supporting the teaching of botany to forestry and horticulture students. Today, the Arboretum provides the physical framework for the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University?s national and international research into the genetic resources of trees and bushes. The Arboretum, which serves as a study collection, supplies around 25,000 cuttings and other plant samples annually in support of teaching. In addition, the staff also provide guided tours to visitors.
