The Little Gardens in Frederiksberg dates back to the 1850s when patrons used to buy boiling water here for tea or coffee-making after having strolled through the Frederiksberg Palace Gardens.

Nowadays, the menus have more to offer and people still come here for a nice day out and a meal. No fancy French cuisine here, the open-faced sandwiches and hot dishes could easily have been prepared by Granny herself.

Open all year. 11:00 - midnight (kitchen until 21:30).

M. G. Petersens Gamle Familiehave

Opening hours from 9 - 30 April are 11:00 - 19:00. From 1 May - 13 September the restaurant is open 11:00 - 23:00.

Krøgers Have

The restaurant is open from 9 - 30 April 11:30 - 17:00. From 1 May - 27 September the opening hours are 11:00 - midnight.

When people talk about The Little Gardens, they refer to these family-run restaurants on Pile Allé.

In M. G. Petersen's Garden, as in Krøger's Garden, live music is provided by a piano player or perhaps an accordeon player: jazz, old fashioned dancing music etc.
