The sculpture in granite in ornamental lake is made by Jun-ichi Inoue. The sculpture is placed in front of Slagelse town hall and was bought for means collected amongst citizens and tradesmen of Slagelse in 1992. The names of the contributors stands on bronzeplates which are placed in the pavement in front of the sculpture and the ornamental lake.
