Groest Hede, situated northeast of Rørbæk lake, was used by the Danish Resistance Movement to recieve weapons dropped by the RAF under the codename YVONNE at the end of German occupation 1940-1945. In the year 1995, a monument was set up to honour the local fight for freedom.
