The Utzon Park on Aalborg's new water front constitutes a beautiful frame for the architectural pearl, The Utzon Center. The Utzon Center, as well as the unique concrete benches that characterize the Utzon Park, was designed by Jørn Utzon, who also designed the Sydney Opera House.

Originally, the benches were meant to be placed in the foyer of the Sydney Opera House but have now found their place in Aalborg – the city where Jørn Utzon spent the first 19 years of his life. Aalborg, the fjord, the sail boats and the shipyard have served as a great source of inspiration in Jørn Utzon’s designs throughout his career.
