The tent site is located above Vingsted Lake on the edge of the woods. Bathroom and water facilities are available at the nearby Iron Age display, and firewood can be had at the tent site. It is not permitted to gather firewood in the surrounding forest.
The accommodation is for free.
Vingsted Lake is one of Denmark's most interesting Iron Age "weapons sacrifice bogs". The area features reconstructed Iron Age houses, and the Vingsted Historic Centre provides teaching and cultural activities for schools and other groups. The area is open to the public, but do show consideration, particularly when teaching is in progress.
The tent site is located on the Bindeballestien Route (Regional Route No. 36), approx. 10 km west of Vejle.
At the Vingsted Centre, take the Bindeballestien Route east to the carpark, where you will find directions to the lake. The carpark is located 300 meters from the nature track.
