Autumn break at Louisiana
At the children’s wing, there are always open workshops, where children can play pretend as polar expeditionist, make pop-up cards and explore ice crystals through microscopes.
Learn how the artists behind the autumn exhibition Arktis have worked and experienced with methods of painting and expressing their dreams about the North Pole.
Ice crystal workshop
See the formations of ice crystals up close through a microscope, and create your own three-dimensional structures to put in a keychain of your very own.
Arctic landscapes as pop-up cards
Make your own pop-up cards using paper cut outs of icebergs, polar bears, whales and icebreaking vessels.
Autumn break competition
Take part in the art exhibition - explore Arktis with a map and magnifying glass to check out sounds and images, and collect your own art material.
Clay workshop “icebergs”
Icebergs are very different in both colour and shape. Create your own using clay, which you can then paint in the cold tones of the arctic.
Explore how various renowned artists experiment with paint and painting methods. Create your own piece of art with glue, prints and colours.
Go on guided family tours in the Arktis exhibition for 4-16 year olds between 11:30 and 12:30, and experience ‘The Flying Art Carpet’ for 3-6 year olds between 12:00 and 12:30.
All workshops and guided tours at Louisiana’s childrens wing are free. Sign up in the children’s wing. Space is limited.
