Balka Strand Bornholm

Balka is the most popular beach on Bornholm. It's several kilometres long and has very fine sand and shallow water.
The beach is sheltered from the prevailing west wind of summer and is known for its warm, shallow water, where children can romp for hours in the gentle waves. On the other hand, you have to go to go a long way in if you want to swim.
The beach starts in Snogebæk - which has lots of shops and restaurants - and ends in Balka, which has a kiosk, crazy golf, toilets and plenty of parking.
In peak season there are lifeguards at the beach and you can hire water cycles, windsurfing equipment and deck chairs.
A disabled ramp by the kiosk makes it possible for everyone to go all the way down to the water's edge.
