On Friday 29th November Santa Claus is coming to Aarhus. On the same day the shops will stay open for late night shopping. There will be a festive Christmas parade and wonderful Yuletide music. There will be activities for both children and adults; Christmas stalls; a merry Christmas atmosphere in the city's streets and lanes; the gloriously twinkling starry sky above the pedestrianised high street 'Strøget'; and the city's giant Christmas tree in the City Hall Square will come stunningly to life as the lights are switched on.
Christmas at the old mill in the woods
In keeping with tradition, the old mill in the woods near the Moesgård Museum once again opens its doors for the festive season offering lots of activities. You can see how flour is milled as in the olden days while you and your family enjoy a warm Danish doughnut and a glass of nicely steaming Christmas grog.
