Frederikssund Viking Market
Frederiksund Viking Market in Frederikssund, west of Copenhagen, is an annual recurring event arranged by Frederikssund Viking Plays.
Frederiksund Viking Market on Kalvøen in Frederikssund is without exaggeration a major attraction and a unique experience for participants as well as visitors.
Viking Market stretches across Kalvøområdet and is divided into a northern and a southern market, which are separated by the Viking Play's area.
At the market you will find Viking crafts such as jewellery, bone work, woolen and knitted hats, shoes and smoked and salty fried herring.
You can also experience working Vikings and their homemade crafts.
Viking Plays and Midsummer's Eve
Every night when the Viking Market comes to an end, you can see the Viking Play Hagbard and Signe (requires ticket and is played out in Danish).
On 23 June there will also be a torchlight procession and Midsummer bonfire from 22:15.
