A bit of history

Around 100 years ago there was a lonely ferry yard. Today, it is a harbor town with lots of vibrant life - and Fur Færgekro is still there as Fur's first eatery in more than one sense.

The ferry inn was originally a farm, which was obliged to help people and ferry them across the Limfjord. But in 1846 the ferry yard was granted permission to run a tavern with overnight stays, which became the Ferry Inn as we know it today. In the 19th century, there were only two properties at the crossing. But over time, several houses have been constructed and the harbor town is now vibrant.
