The Meatpacking District in Vesterbro in Copenhagen has blossomed in recent years with restaurants, nightclubs and art galleries. The art galleries are assembled on Flæsketorvet square.

One of the most established ones is Galleri Bo Bjerggaard whose focus is on international contemporary art by the likes of Per Kirkeby, Georg Baselitz, Jannis Kounellis, Sigmar Polke, Helmut Federle, Jonathan Meese and Erwin Wurm. With artists such as A. K. Dolven, Per Bak Jensen, Eve Sussman, Erik Steffensen Nanna Hänninen and Eva Schlegel the gallery also has a broad selection of photo and video art of high international quality.
