Middelfart Museum - Henner Friiser Hus
Henner Friisers Hus in Brogade is a well-preserved half-timbered gabled house from around 1575.

Main exhibition 2014: "Middelfart - Merchant town during the Napoleonic Wars".
In the exhibition, we seek to make connections between the major European policy and its impact on the lives of our small market town 200 years ago. How did Middelfart look at the time and how was the town influenced by the Napoleonic wars? How did the population tackle the meeting with foreign troops, and what happened at Hindsgavl Slot, where King Frederik 6. had his headquarters during the end of the wars in 1814?
Get answers to these and many more questions in the exhibition that can be seen in Henner Friisers Hus, Brogade 8.
With the opening of the exhibition, it is for the first time possible to see the "new" Henner Friisers Hus. The restoration work, which began in 2013, was completed by the end of March 2014. We need to develop the new permanent exhibitions for the house, but with the special exhibition "Middelfart - Merchant town during the Napoleonic Wars," one can already sense that there are new times in the old house.
