Holstebro Art Museum

- The museum with worldart and art from the whole world
Works by a row of important Danish artists from 1930 and on like Astrid Noack, Ejler Bille, Erik Thommesen, Henry Heerup, Gertrud Vasegaard, Albert Mertz, John Olsen, and Tal R. There are classics such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Giacometti, who are represented with well known graphic series. By showing art from foreign cultures, international art and Danish art side by side, the museum wants to show art as a universal phenomenon.

Holstebro Art Gallery is situated in an exciting museum complex consisting of a large, detached house from 1906, a museum wing from 1981, and a new exhibition wing inaugurated 2011 of 1,200 m2, both designed by Hanne Kjærholm. The new wing frames the temporary exhibition of Danish and intrnational art.
