Jydelejet

If you want to go for a walk in the green, you can take the trip out to Jydelejet on Østmøn.

Jydeleje is a soft, rounded valley that cuts into the landscape behind the cliff. It is a cultural landscape (exaggerated), cared for by cattle and with the clearing of unwanted trees and shrubs. The area has a unique wealth of rare plants and animals, which has been well attended by both botanists and zoologists for many years.

Since the chalk from the cliff is just below the surface, it provides a very good breeding ground for, among other things, orchids such as horn dragon, white-yellow forest lily and red hole lip.

To take best care of nature, we recommend that you park your car either at GeoCenter Møns Klint or Liselund Castle and walk from there.
