Lisbjerg Church

Lisbjerg Church was built in the 12th century on a spot where there was a tree church in the Viking Age.

The previous gilded altar of Lisbjerg Church was donated to the National Museum of Denmark in the 1860s. The present altar decoration consistes of a golden cross, made by Mogens Jørgensen, and a woven altar drape by Gudrun Stenberg. The mosaic in the re-established stained glass east window is also by Gudrun Stenberg and Mogens Jørgensen.
