The miniature golf course at Husodde Beach

A perfect day by the ocean

Lovely nature, a fine sandy beach, refreshing ice-cream at the waterfront, and not least a fun game for the whole family. That is the recipe for a good summer’s day at the Danish east coast.

At the eastern outskirts of Horsens, you can visit Husodde Beach and Horsens City Camping. Here you can spend a day with the children – it will not be difficult to convince them to go.

Fairytale among medieval castles

Everyone is welcome to use the miniature golf course at Horsens City Camping. It is not necessary to spend the night at the camp site. Simply report to reception, and they will hand out equipment at a small fee.

The miniature golf course has 18 holes where you can compete against each other and see who masters the challenges. You will face hills, tunnels, and various other challenges as you fight for glory and bragging rights.

The themed crazy golf course has many references to fairytales and the Middle Ages. In the middle of the course, there is a fortress, and if you are not careful, you will end up in the witch’s pot or the pillory.

The miniature golf course is open from Easter until autumn holiday (Week 42).

Enjoy cheap ice-cream

Horsens City Camping offers delicious ice-cream and cold refreshments in the kiosk. Feel free to enjoy the ice-cream at the tables and benches outside the kiosk, at the lawn area with a playground or at the beach.

You can choose between classic Danish ice-cream cones, Danish soft serve ice-cream or stick ice. Of you inform the reception that you would also like to purchase ice-cream, when you rent clubs, balls, and scoresheet, you will get a discount on the ice-cream.

You can see the current prices at Horsens City Camping’s website.

In the kiosk you can also buy coffee, cocoa, and a small selection of fast food.

Explore the surroundings

Husodde Beach is a Blue Flag-certified beach with fine facilities and a bathing jetty. There is also a playground where the kids cam romp.

The beach is surrounded by lovely nature that you can easily explore on foot or by bike. The Stensballe Forests are in close proximity to the beach, and you might want to go for a walk in the green surroundings. If you walk in the direction of Horsens, you can follow the beautiful panorama route, the Husodde Path, that offers an amazing view.

Tip: You can borrow citybikes at Horsens City Camping if you put down a small deposit. This way you can go for a ride and enjoy the coastal landscape.

It is also possible to rent SUP boards in the reception and set out on the calm waters of Horsens Fjord.
