Denmark 1914-18 Museum facility featuring Denmark during World War I, at Mosede Fort and the Tune position.

Mosede Fort is located on the beach in Køge Bay, surrounded by large green areas.

The Casemate is closed from spring 2013 due to renovation and reopening on 6 August 2014 with a brand new museum department: "On the Edge of War" depicting Denmark during World War I.

But the rest of the entire fort area is open to the public every day of the week.

During the summer of 2013 you can enjoy a time voyage back to 1916, finding out what it was like being a soldier at Mosede Fort in those days with a raging war in Europe, when the soldiers at the fort were ready to defend themselves against a possible attack on Denmark’s neutrality.

The soldiers only speak danish.

Go exploring the overgrown ramparts and hidden concrete caves of the fort, talk to the uniformed soldiers and exprience history close up.

Meet the soldiers at Mosede Fort, who will be performing and chatting with the audience:

9 and 23 June - 14 and 28 July - 4 and 18 August - 8 September

Each time from 2-4pm, free admission.

29 September is Fortification Day with a host of activities at Mosede Fort.
