The stretch of Sæby Å from Sæby Watermill to the river’s mouth is best fished with spinning bait and wet flies. Between 16 January and 15 April you can catch ”Greenlanders,” the Danish name for immature over-wintering sea trout. Upstream of Sæby Watermill, Sæby Å is well-suited to both dry and wet flies.
Season: 16. January - 15 November. Throughout the season Sæby Å is well stocked with both brown trout and sea trout.Prices:
Day pass: 70 DKK, 2 day pass: 100 DKK, week pass: DKK180. Passes are non-transferable and are for anglers only. Passes are available from the harbour newsagents in Sæby, amongst other places.
Passes are also valid for Skærum Å, Åsted Å, Elling Å and Bangsbo Å.
