DANHOSTEL Danmarks Vandrerhjem in cooperation with the "Centre for Accessibility" (Center for Tilgængelighed) has made its facilities for disabled guests at its individual hostels assessed.

The assessment comprises the following groups of users, peple with manual disabilities and walking difficulties, the visually impaired and the blind, people with reduced hearing and the deaf, as well as people suffering from allergies.

The basis of the assessment is whether the hostel "can be of interest to one or more groups of disabled peple without this implying that the hostel must be fully accessable". This formulation has been drawn up by organisations of the user groups concerned. 

So far 12 DANHOSTEL youth hostels have been registered as fully or partially accessible.

Visitors are always recommended to contact the individual hostel to get precise information about accessibility for disabled persons.
