What's a Holiday Home and What to Bring?

The large stock of privately owned holiday homes in Denmark form the basis of the holiday homes offered to the tourists for hire. The standard is usually quite high, the houses being the second home of the Danish families during their leisure. The houses are full of individual charm and conveniences, and are usually situated in beautiful surroundings, normally close to the seaside. Insulation and heating add to the 'all year round'-use of the houses.

The homes can be booked through private letting agencies and some tourist offices. A representative in the area can be contacted regarding the home, should problems arise.

What do I need to bring?
Although the houses generally speaking are well-equipped, you will need to bring some things:
  • Bed-linen
  • Towels
  • Tea towels
  • Dishcloths
  • Toilet paper
  • Kitchen roll
  • Cleaning products

It might also be a good idea to bring the following things, which might come in handy:

  • A few staples such as sugar, flour, salt, pepper and cereals
  • Tin opener
  • Bottle opener
