Although Denmark has a temperate climate with mild winters, few people would probably enjoy a cycling holiday that time of the year, but from the beginning of May till the end of September, the weather is perfect for cycling. July is the most popular holiday month in Denmark while May and September are far less crowded leaving space to roam. Even during high summer does it rarely get insufferably hot, although the thermometer may reach 30+ degrees on really good summer days. Precipitation in the form of a rain shower is always a possibility whereas several days of continuous rain is much rarer. As a matter of fact, the wind is the biggest challenge on a cycling holiday in Denmark; however, as it usually blows from the west, it might be worth considering organising the trip accordingly and choose a route that runs from west to east.
