6. Stretch your muscles after the day’s cycling - and possibly when stopping en route.
7. Several thin layers of clothing are warmer than one thick sweater - and they make it easier for you to regulate your body temperature.
8. Tyres that have been inflated to the full make cycling easier and reduce the risk of punctures.
9. Do not let a fixed schedule for your trip ruin the chance of having spontaneous ideas en route.
10. Limit your luggage to the minimum (max. 15 kg per person). Buy en route if you really need something.

15. Apart from the normal nature camps, campers can use any of the 750 or so tent sites. There is more information about them in the booklet ’Outdoor stopovers’ (Summary in German and English).

17. Danish youth and family hostels are extremely comfortable - and you are sure to meet other cyclists.
18. A wing mirror on your bike makes it easier to keep tracks of the traffic behind you.
19. A water bottle in a clip on your bike is practical. Drink plenty of liquid (water) if it is hot.
