Cyber Space Guided City Tours

On dac.dk there is a dynamic guide to Danish Architecture which supplies information on guided tours, photos and factual information on the most essential architecture in some of the country's major cities: Copenhagen, Århus, Odense and Ålborg.

You find the guided tours by clicking on the map of Denmark on the front page or on Maps in the menu bar. Here you can choose between a total of 14 guided tours in the four major cities of Denmark. The tours are accompanied by a tour description, which guides you by the architectural gems of the cities. The tour descriptions include links to a library where you find photos and factual information about each individual building and urban space, and they can be printed out and serve as your personal guide when you decide to do a live sightseeing in the cities!.

The guided tours are marked with a red line on the maps, and every building you pass by is marked with a house icon. By clicking on the house icons you can also go to the library and see photos and read facts about the buildings you pass on the tours.

There is also a Library at your service which contains facts about more than 900 buildings and urban spaces in Copenhagen, Århus, Odense and Ålborg. 210 of these are included in the guided tours and illustrated by colour photos. In the library you can search for specific buildings and urban spaces, find out who designed them, and when they were constructed.

Finally, the dictionary supply information on the major architectural styles and link to the typical examples shown in the guided tours.
