Albuen Beach

Vejle's most urban beach, Albuen, is located on the north side of the Vejle Inlet. A very popular beach, which is both family friendly and handicap friendly and with really good facilities. Here you will find a bathing beach, children's beach, playground, beach volleyball court, kiosk, tables and benches, toilet facilities and parking spaces.

In lush green surroundings on the northern coast of Vejle Inlet lies Vejle’s popular urban beach, Albuen Strand (Albuen Beach). The beach offers public facilities such as toilets, picnic tables and benches and a kiosk. There is good public transport to and from Vejle.

The family-friendly and disabled-friendly beach offers a children’s beach, playground, beach volley court, kiosk, picnic tables and benches, toilet facilities and parking.

Construction of the manmade beach began in 1942. The sand was sourced from Trelde Næs and after six years of construction, the beach was ready. Albuen Beach became so popular that it has been refurbished several times since. Most recently in 2005.

National Cycle Route No. 5, The East Coast Route, passes through the area.

City bus No 1 goes from Vejle centre to Albuen Strand.
