Børkop Watermill - milling & Farbror Svends Collection

Surrounded by the scenic nature of East Jutland you find Børkop Watermill (Børkop Mølle), a fully-functioning watermill complete with waterwheel and millstones that sits next to ”Farbror Svends Samling” (Uncle Svend’s Collection) where they exhibit agricultural and artisanal craft tools as well as domestic utensils from olden days.

Børkop Watermill dates back to the sixteenth century. The fully-functioning watermill complete with waterwheel and millstones still grinds oats and flour. The local heritage museum Farbror Svends Samling (Uncle Svend’s Collection) is featured in an old pigsty where you can experience agricultral and artisanal craft tools as well as domestic utensils from olden days.

The former farmhouse has been converted into a gourmet restaurant serving delicious cuisine. The museum and the watermill are open every weekend and public holiday (except Mondays) during the summer from 14:00 to 17:00. Here you can visit the watermill in action and you can buy freshly ground flour and oats from the miller.

Free admission and guided tours during the stated opening hours. Outside opening hours, guided group tours can be arranged. Further information on admission etc. can be found at https://www.borkopvandmolle.dk/.
