Dyngby Beach

On this peaceful and wide sandy beach on the eastern coast of Jutland, you have plenty of space. There are no shopping opportunities or other fancy facilities, but the beach and the bathing water are of high quality and quite worth a visit.

Quiet beach on the east coast of Jutland

There's not much to disturb you as a beachgoer at Dyngby Strand. Here, it's just the chirping of birds, the gentle lapping of the calm water against the shore, and occasional passersby that catch your attention.

The beach is primarily used by summer house guests in the surrounding area, all drawn to the special tranquility and free nature. Several artists have chosen to settle in the area for the same reason and are happy to open their studios to visitors.

There are no noteworthy facilities associated with the beach, nor is there a proper parking lot. Please note that parking is prohibited in the summer house area, but you can park just outside.

Child-friendly beach

The entire coastline near Odder is quite child-friendly, and Dyngby Strand is no exception. The shallow, calm water and wide sandy beach with very few bathers provide good conditions for families with children, making it easy to keep an eye on them.

Neighbor to Saksild Beach

Dyngby Strand is the least visited beach on the Odder coast. The beach stands in stark contrast to the neighboring Saksild beach, which is perhaps the best and most visited on the east coast. At Saksild Strand, you'll find all the amenities you could wish for. Lifeguards keep an eye on your children, and there are restaurants, shopping opportunities, and activities that can contribute to a good day and a holistic experience.

From Dyngby, you can walk to Saksild along the beach. It's about 3.5 kilometers to Saksild Strand's shopping opportunities. Saksild and Dyngby are connected via the signposted hiking trail, "hjertestien," which makes it possible to walk one way along the beach and back through the summer house area.

A good choice for coastal fishing

Dyngby Strand is also a good choice for anglers who can don their waders with the possibility of a good catch. However, there are also several places where wading is not necessary. There are good chances of catching sea trout and garfish, while flounder and cod are also not uncommon guests.
