KIRK Gallery
Galleri KIRK is located in the center of Aalborg and features 8-10 exhibitions each year. The gallery has two individual showrooms and there are often exhibitions in the Front Gallery and Side Gallery.
KIRK Gallery in Aalborg promotes Danish and international contemporary art and presents new waves and expressions within the young contemporary art scene.
At KIRK Gallery you can experience well-established contemporary art as well as the urban art scenes in perfect harmony. The gallery is run by Lene Kirk and her three assistants. The gallery houses new exhibits each month for the purpose of presenting powerful and visionary art created by young artists in a cross-field between a high technical level and edgy expressions. The artists are selected based on their unique conceptual and visual lines of work.
The gallery takes part in art fairs in Denmark and abroad and arranges decorations, art projects and exhibits at museums.
Murals
Along with exhibits at the gallery and other activities, KIRK Gallery takes part in the creation of a number of large scale murals as part of the mural project “Out in the Open”. The paintings are made by internationally recognized artists such as Conor Harrington, Faith47 and Bezt.
Alongside the gallery in Aalborg, Gallery KIRK also runs a gallery in Dubai with two partners. This gallery focuses on bringing European art to the Middle East through events, exhibitions and decor. The gallery also arranges art seminars taught by exhibiting artists in South Africa, Dubai, Genève and Mallorca.
