Holstebro Railway Station

Holstebro Railway Station was built in 1904 after blueprints by chief architect of the Danish State Railways (DSB) Heinrich Wenck, who among other things has built the Central Railway Station in Copenhagen.

The building itself is a sculptural landscape built up by towers and small pavilions. Inside, the architect has combined elements from the classical architectural tradition with elements of Nordic style. The classical tradition is characterized by columns and arches, and the Nordic style by wooden ceilings and red and green painted wooden balustrades.
