Holiday centres [1]

A little bit of everything

A holiday centre in Denmark is like a hotel and your own apartment all rolled in to one. You have your own accommodation with private facilities, which is part of a bigger campus with hotel-style reception, restaurants and many activities to take part in on site.

Family-friendly holidays

It’s the perfect holiday choice for a lot of families and a great place to let your kids roam and interact with other children. Most of Denmark’s holiday centres are located near the sea, but you can also find idyllic countryside centres and city centres. Holiday centres tend to be open all year round.

Prices

You can stay at holiday centres for one or more weeks, usually from Saturday to Saturday, but it is also possible to book for one weekend only. It’s easier to book shorter stays outside of the high season and summer holiday periods. The cost of a stay will depend on the season and length of stay. An apartment with four beds will cost around 6,000kr in the high season.

Classification

Like Danish hotels, holiday centres that are members of HORESTA [2] (The Danish Hotels’ Association) are assigned 0 to 5 stars based on assessment of their facility and service standards.
