    Siden 2004 har Meetovation projektet givet Danmark en suveræn first-mover position på det internationale mødemarked.  Nu er en videreudvikling af projektet skudt i gang med Meetovation 3.0. Meetovation 3.0 skal imødekomme den stigende konkurrence i den internationale mødebranche og bibeholde Danmarks nuværende status og troværdighed.     I 2003 blev grundstenen til Meetovation blev lagt, da VisitDenmark inviterede en række toneangivende spillere i den danske mødebranche (Danske Regioner, HORESTA og danske konferencer) med til at udvikle et nyt møde design koncept med en ny og anderledes tilgang til de gængse mødeformater.

    Den styregruppe, der har finansieret og sat retningen for videreudviklingen af Meetovation, består af ledende private og regionale aktører inden for dansk turisme. Fælles for styregruppens medlemmer er bl.a. at de tror på vigtigheden af at Danmark også fremadrettet bibeholder sin status i udlandet som suveræn 'first mover' inden for mødedesign.
