Released today, the 2013 Scandinavian Destination Sustainability Index demonstrates an annual improvement of 11% towards their goal of creating the world first sustainable meetings region.

West Zealand is a part of Denmark steeped in history. From the stone age through the Viking era, medieval times and the present, West Sealand has played an important role in Danish history. The region is home to the impressive cathedral city Roskilde, dating back to Viking times. West Zealand has plenty of Viking attractions to look at, including Viking ships and Viking fortresses. Last week at the ICCA Scandinavia Chapter conference in Aarhus, Denmark, the 2013 ICCA Scandinavian Destinations Sustainability Index results were released.

The Danish EU Presidency (EU2012) will have an estimated cost of 35 million Euros. This is less than 1/3 of the costs of the previous Polish EU presidency, which amounted to 115 million Euros. These savings are achieved by choosing partners who are focused on cost savings - and on sustainability.
