The local winners of VisitDenmark and Wonderful Copenhagen's pioneering MINDchallenge competition; W&O Events (UK), IdeenReich (DE), Appoint Event & Conference (SE), Spokespeople (US) and Hotellmegleren (NO) are on their marks and getting ready to pack their bags - and creative MINDs - to head for the international MINDchallenge Finale 2012 in London during the Olympics.

The winners of VisitDenmark and partners' pioneering MINDchallenge competition on five key markets of the Danish Meetings Industry; Sweden, Norway, Germany, United Kingdom and North America have been announced.

Following an exciting afternoon packed with great pitches from participants W&O Events (UK), IdeenReich (DE), Appoint Event & Conference (SE), Spokespeople (US) and Hotellmegleren (NO) - the winner of VisitDenmark and Wonderful Copenhagen's pioneering international MINDchallenge 2012 final was declared, namely; IdeenReich of Germany.

Join us for one of these fun and interactive events where you will meet relevant Danish hoteliers, destinations and incoming agencies. Participants will automatically be qualified to participate in the first-ever International Meetovator course in Copenhagen in December 2013. Whilst at the event, you will help set the agenda and will experience for yourself how to make the most of organising an event in Denmark - you will also get tips on how to engage participants and get innovative meeting design ideas.

Destination development company Royal North Sealand is ready to launch its new meeting concept 'Transformative Meetings’ to international meeting planners at IMEX 2012. 

The Danish EU Presidency (EU2012) will have an estimated cost of 35 million Euros. This is less than 1/3 of the costs of the previous Polish EU presidency, which amounted to 115 million Euros. These savings are achieved by choosing partners who are focused on cost savings - and on sustainability.

Last week at the ICCA Scandinavia Chapter conference in Aarhus, Denmark, the 2013 ICCA Scandinavian Destinations Sustainability Index results were released.

Denmark has won the 'Best upcoming incentive destination' category at the 2nd ever held M!CE Awards in connection with the M!CE & Business Travel Event on 15 November in the Netherlands.

The Danish Foreign Ministry, responsible for the organization of the 2012 European Union Presidency, today announced the compliance of their event management system against the new ISO 20121 standard for sustainable event management. Externally verified by the global certification company SGS, this is the world’s first ISO20121 certification of a large international government event. The Ministry’s event management system covers the logistical organisation of 110 meetings, attracting 15000 attendees at three venues between January and June, 2012.
