Visit Programme
The delegates will have the opportunity to visit the Health Centre Østerbro in Copenhagen. In 2004, Copenhagen Municipality decided to establish the first multifunctional health Centre for the elderly in Copenhagen. At this centre the elderly have access to an activity centre, a training centre, a health centre and a home helper unit - all under one roof. Here the elderly can receive individual training or training with others, as well as general rehabilitation. Additionally, they can acquire information and guidance on healthy diets, how to prevent for instance diabetes, and health issues such as 'slips & falls'.
The centre has a very close cooperation witht he local GP's, the hospitals and the local nursing homes.
The delegates will be given an on-site tour of the Health centre and thorough information on the purpose and aims of the centre - presented by one of the managers. it iwll be possible for the delegates to ask questions.

Outcome
Upon visiting the health centre and acquiring useful information on the ideas behind the centre, the delegates are ensured to leave inspired.
