Visit Programme

The overall goal of urban waste management is to collect, treat and dispose of wastes generated by all urban population groups in an environmentally and socially satisfactory manner using the most economical means available.
in order to establish a comprehensive waste management model, Danish municipalities have the authority to regulate all types of waste from all sources, including private households, institutions, industries, service trades etc. the waste model used for commercial and industrial waste is designed in accordance witht he 'polluter pays principle', which means that the soring, collection, transportation and treatment of wastes is paid for by the users of the system.
The national waste management goal sets guidelines for an overall recycling level of 60-65%.
