Solar energy is the purest form of energy there is, and in contrast to fossil fuels it can be collected all over the world. Every hour, the sun showers the earth with more energy than the world's entire population consumes in a whole year. Denmark is one of the leading countries in implementing solar thermal installations that transform the light energy from the sun into electric energy.

Greenbelt Denmark will give the delegates the opportunity to visit a solar building in the GreenBelt area. Here, the delegates will see and learn about the application possibilities of solar thermal energy. The delegates will recieve an on-site guided tour of the premises, and get a general introduction to solar energy and its potential.

Approx. 1.5 hours

Outcome

Upon visiting the solar building, attending the lecture and participating in the following discussion session, the delegates should gain insight into the ways in which solar energy may be explored, and learn from the Danish experiences.
