Examples of Cross-National facility trips in 2008:

25-27 June 2008: “Waves and Raves”

Copenhagen is an old harbour city with a wide range of possibilities for combining meetings and conferences with water activities such as: Sail a group from Copenhagen Airport to one of the Copenhagen’s many harbour side

hotels, or to one of the meeting venues located at along the coast or on the Copenhagen waterfront. Have your champagne served by divers at The Little Mermaid. Stage your conference on a sailboat, yacht or cruise ship, and arrange the gala event as a dinner cruise. Have high speed zodiacs sail you to a party at one of the fortresses outside Copenhagen. Organise a sailing, canoe or water polo competition as part of a teambuilding activity. Have a stroll, hang out and relax at one of the city’s promenades, or go for a swim in the new harbour baths or one of the great blue flagged beaches along the coast. When it comes to water – Copenhagen and Northern Sealand has got it all.

In Copenhagen the group will stay at one of the waterfront hotels such as the new floating hotel CPH Living at Langeliniebro (tbc). This trip will also include exploring some of the area’s great night clubs and bars.

A cross-national facility trip.

10-12 September 2008: “Tee & Cakes”

The Øresund region, including Copenhagen and Malmö, is a true a paradise for golfers. No other region in northern Europe has as many golf courses with such great variety in such close proximity. The Øresund region offers around 100 courses within a 90 minutes drive and has been named best value golf destination in continental Europe. And they come with very low green fees as well. High standards in course design, club facilities, equipment, coaching and restaurants – and you can play longer! In summer it is daylight until 10.30 pm. at least.
Several of the world’s best golfers are from Sweden or Denmark – Jesper Parnevik and Annika Sörenstam from Sweden and Thomas Bjørn and Iben Tinning from Denmark are among them – and golf is now the fastest growing sport in Denmark and an every man’s sport in Sweden.

This trip will also focus on the culinary possibilities in the Øresund Region and is hosted by Wonderful Copenhagen, Position Skåne, Malmö Tourism and VisitDenmark.

Another cross-national facility trip.
