No fewer than eleven of Copenhagen’s restaurants are in the highly respected Michelin Guide; One of them, Noma, in fact has two stars. Besides, the Oresund Region boasts more than 90 gold courses within a 90-minute radius. Many of these are of international standard. Green fees are easily obtainable and many hotels have special arrangements with golf courses. AND the Nordic countries are famous for their long summer evenings – perfect for a round of golf at the end of a working day. At the summer solstice, the day is 17½ hours long.
This is a brilliant opportunity to get the best of both Denmark and Sweden. Starting out with golfing in Sweden and a gourmet dinner in Denmark and then comparing this to golfing in Denmark and dining in Sweden the following day. On one trip it is possible to get the best of two destinations.
