noma among the world's best restaurants and caterer for meetings in Copenhagen

May 2009

Ask the world's top 50 chefs to pick their favourite restaurant in the world – and the answer is restaurant noma in Copenhagen. By successfully reinventing the Nordic cuisine, noma has now catapulted into the world's top 3 on British Restaurant Magazine's restaurant list. For the second year in a row, noma has also been awarded 2 stars by the Michelin guide. Add to this then, excellent meeting facilities upstairs in the same old maritime warehouse, at the North Atlantic House, and you will find that in Copenhagen it is possible to stage meetings with up to 200 participants with lunch catered for by a 2-star Michelin restaurant!

Forget about foie gras and coq au vin. Now the Nordic Cuisine with musk ox, wild birds, seaweed from Iceland and local berries from Greenland is “hot”. With its many international accolades, noma only confirms recent international trends that Copenhagen is the scene for innovative and experimental gastronomy.

A few years ago, leisure and business travellers didn’t know about the Nordic kitchen, but now they do. The good news is that when it comes to noma and Business Events, the North Atlantic House upstairs is a highly attractive conference and meeting space that also serves lunch buffets prepared by its star-studded neighbour!

The North Atlantic House is located in the same classic warehouse building as noma in the old part of Copenhagen called Christianshavn. It boasts splendid panoramic views of the old canals of Nyhavn, the Opera House and the new Royal Playhouse and provides an ideal framework for meetings, conferences, presentations or kick-offs with all the latest state-of –the-art audio-visual equipment too.

So there you have it; for an exclusive Business Event opt for a capital with 14 Michelin stars – more than the rest of Scandinavia and cities like Rome, Madrid, Berlin, Milan and Vienna! – and combine important Business Events with fabulous Nordic food experiences from one of the world’s best restaurants - what more can you ask for…?
