Danish design

In an affluent, class-less society like Denmark’s, cultural concepts such as design, arts & crafts, and fashion are accessible to all. The fundamental attitude is liberal and the arts are for everyone, with the preferred galleries offering something to inspire even the youngest children. At the same time, Denmark is currently enjoying a new cultural awareness, following the growing international acclaim for Danish Design.

Among the most famous Danish design icons are designers like Arne Jacobsen, Poul Henningsen, Verner Panton and Nanna Ditzel and companies like Royal Copenhagen, Georg Jensen, Bang & Olufsen, etc.

Arts and crafts
